Public Grievances

1.Public Grievance Cell of the Department is entrusted with the responsibility of redressal of public grievances which are received from two sources i.e, electronically onpgportal.gov.in and through post.

2.One can lodge hisl her grievances online on the portal or send through post any matter related to this Department Le. Food and Public Distribution as well as its PSEs/ Agencies viz. Food Corporation of India (FCI), Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), Central Railside Warehouse Company Limited (CRWC), Warehousing Development and Regularity Authority (WDRA), Hindustan Vegetables Oils Corporation Limited (HVOC), Indian Grain Storage Management & Research Institute (IGMRI), National Sugar Institute, Kanpur and Directorate of Sugar & Vegetable Oils.

3. Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) have fixed the following time frame for dealing with references relating to Public Grievances:

(i) Acknowledging references received electronically 3 days

(ii) Acknowledging references received through post 7 days

(iii) Obtaining comments of concerned Officer/Division 15 days

(iv) Final settlement of grievance 60 days

4. Additional Secretary (Public Grievance) is the nodal officer for monitoring and supervision of public grievances.

5. Progress report of Public Grievances received in this Department is as under: -

Total Public Grievances pending as on 31.03.2017 : 210

Additional Public Grievances received during the year : 3255

Total Public Grievances : 3465

Total Public Grievances disposed off : 3389

Total public Grievances Pending as on 01.12.2018 : 147

Percentage of disposal : 98%
