Central Sector Scheme for construction of storage godowns

The Department is implementing the Central Sector Scheme for construction of godowns with focus on augmenting capacity in the North Eastern Region. The scheme is also operative in a few other States like Himachal Pradesh & Kerala. Funds are released to the FCI in the form of equity for land acquisition and for construction of storage godowns and related infrastructure like railway sidings, electrification, installation of weighbridge, etc.

Physical achievement and funds released to FCI during the 12th Plan Period i.e. 2012-13 to 2016-17 are as below:-
